Led by Matt Sands, Winemaker and General Manager of Lithology, the dinner offers a unique opportunity to explore the winery’s commitment to vineyard expression, precision winemaking, and the distinctive character of Napa Valley.

Throughout the evening, Matt will share the story behind Lithology’s vineyards, vintages, and winemaking approach, providing firsthand insight into the decisions that shape each bottle. From site selection to cellar practices, guests will gain a deeper understanding of the wines as they enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu that complements and enhances each pairing.

About Your Host: Matt Sands+

Originally from New Zealand, Matt Sands began his winemaking journey on Waiheke Island, one of the country's most celebrated wine regions. It was there that he developed a passion for vineyard-driven wines and the belief that great wine is made in the vineyard through thoughtful farming and a deep respect for site.

Now serving as Winemaker and General Manager of Lithology, Matt has guided every vintage at the estate since 2015. Over the course of more than twenty harvests, he has gained experience at renowned wineries including Passage Rock, Man O' War, Stonyridge, Screaming Eagle, and Bryant Estate. Working alongside legendary consultants Philippe Melka and Michel Rolland, Matt crafts wines that showcase the distinct character of Napa Valley's most exceptional vineyard sites while remaining true to his philosophy of precision, balance, and terroir expression.
